Dr. Maple Fung is a board-certified nephrologist and biotech consultant with 15+ years
of clinical and research experience with 40+ peer reviewed publications across
academia and industry. She brings deep insight into clinical development, life sciences
strategy, and innovative kidney care. Dr. Fung collaborates with biotech companies as a
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and clinical development consultant, guiding product
development from preclinical stages through all phases of development leading to drug
approvals and partnerships. She has worked across multiple therapeutic areas including
dermatology, nephrology, and rheumatology and interacted with regulatory authorities
globally. She also serves as a clinical trial investigator and continues to provide per
diem nephrology services in San Diego.
Dr. Fung received her medical degree and internal medicine and nephrology training at
University of California, San Diego where she was also a research faculty member prior
to joining industry.
